‘Irish Don’ presents the freshest cuts coming from Mode FM DJ and producer Sware. The four tracks in the EP show off Sware’s ability infuse grimey basslines, skilful melodies and generous splashes of horns, hi-hats and drums, Sware’s concoctions don't muck about. As a former Beat Boss champion, Sware certainly knows how to produce the badboy riddims, with this EP, he’s showing that he’s out here making nothing but crud. The title track, perhaps the most soft of all the tracks on the EP, combines mellow melodies with yet more hi-hats, the jitteriness providing an interesting offset to the somewhat genial tone. ‘The End’ is sluggish to get going but don’t underestimate its potency as it absolutely explodes into life with an almighty boom, Sware knows how to add the crash, bang and wallop effect to his productions. The almost sinister sounding atmosphere in ‘We Got Amm’ sets the mood that something big is about to happen, the frantic nature of it will have man considering doing 10 toes to the dance to catch the vibe in the dance. The skippy hi-hats that rattle without fail in ‘Lava’ contrasts the wobbling bassline, the array of percussion used here the gin to the tonic of the hi-hats.

Any chance of Side by Side the vocal mix on Bandcamp, please sir? They only place I have that is on Youtubes and it has really bad sound quality.
